This is an after-school program that aims at building the capacities of high school students from Nairobi’s resource-constrained areas through supportive learning, character and life skills sessions, and excursions. The program currently supports 150 students from 8 high schools located in Kibera, Mukuru, and Kangemi. During the school term, the students come to the university every Saturday from 12.30 pm to 5.00 pm.

By the numbers

  • In 2019,  we managed to have 28 students out of 56 score a C+ and above, with 10 of them scoring Straight As in Mathematics in  KCSE results
  • We have supported more than 600 secondary school students from Kibera, Mukuru, and Kangemi
  • We have facilitated training for more than 30 teachers and 6 principals
